Android was a defensive move

Didn't you write this like a few months back?

It's funny because this seems to be the topic that brings up the most anger among the "tech" crowd.

Wasn't it Wired that said the web is dying, meanwhile everyone rose up in anger arguing how dare they make such a big mistake.

I think they meant to say the way we interact with the web is changing. I rarely pull up Google on my iPhone to search, instead I stay in apps. I use Facebook app, Ebay app, Amazon app, etc. This is one reason why iOS devices are so popular among the non-tech crowd because believe it or not, internet surfing is tough for a lot of people. It can be confusing trying to find things online when you have something particular in mind.

Android was a defensive move for Google that turned into a pseudo offensive move. I say pseudo because Google wants android believers to use google search to enjoy the web. Apple practices a completely different philosophy.

One reason why I am in Apple's camp when it comes to this topic.
